In the style of Traffic and Syriana, our story follows different people and families from contrasting socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. In spite of separate life experiences, we learn through a series of press announcements broadcast from the White House that these characters are unknowingly bound by a responsibility and vulnerability to a major environmental disaster.
Unbeknownst to all but a few top level officials, a startling realization has been made that the world’s ballooning population and insatiable consumption levels have pushed the earth’s ability to sustain human life to a catastrophic tipping point. In our story, a press conference is utilized as a red herring to distract the public from the real objective of releasing a man-made virus designed to rapidly reduce the world’s population as a last ditch effort to sustain human life.
